Community message

I wanted to express my thanks to the invited panel and the 170 local residents who attended the Local Development Framework (LDF) meeting at the Rams’ stadium last week.

The meeting sent a clear message to Kirklees Council that its consultation process has been inadequate and the process should be halted until further information is made available to residents.

The message is clear. We, the residents, need, deserve and rightly expect to be informed of actions the council wishes to undertake in our local area, not only by our elected councillors but also the council directly.

I urge everyone who attended to complete the feedback form provided on the night to inform Kirklees Council just how angry residents are at being ignored.
