Old clothes drive bags new cash
Slimming World organisations country wide collecting pre-loved clothing to be donated to Cancer Research UK and to be passed on and sold in their local charity shops.
Carie Calvert, based at St Andrews Church Liversedge, approached Tesco cleckheaton so see if they would again support them.
“We jumped at the chance,” explained Melanie Cropper, Community Champion. “We advertised the event making the Cleckheaton branch the drop off point for Slimming World clients and Tesco customers.”
The bags donated are valued at £25 and last year Slimming World raised 3.3 million.
