The Obediah Brooke pub in Cleckheaton is set to close for a refurbishment and expansion project costing £711,000.
The pub on Bradford Road, which first opened as a Wetherspoon venue in November 2000, is undergoing a seven-week refurbishment project, as well as an extension to the customer area.
The popular bar will close on Sunday 22 July at the end of trade and reopens on Monday 27 August.
Wetherspoon has purchased the former bank next door to allow for the extra space.
The newly acquired building will add a first-floor area with views to Albion Street.
At ground floor level, the building will give the pub a whole new direction and improved visibility in the town.
Inside the pub, which will be completely redecorated, there will be a new colour scheme and new carpets installed throughout. New comfy seating booths and new lighting installation will give a much warmer, richer feel.
Pub manager Michael McDonald said: “Myself and my team will look forward to welcoming customers back into The Obediah Brooke in August. We are confident that they will be impressed by the refurbishment and extension of the pub.”
