New show brings cultures together
Dewsbury-based Indian arts organisation Manasamitra is to tour venues across Yorkshire with Shivoham, musical experience inspired by the Indian god Shiva, featuring Ben Castle, son of Roy Castle OBE.
The tour includes North Kirklees venues as a part of a partnership with Creative Scene, Lawrence Batley Theatre’s successful bid to Arts Council England’s Creative People and Places funding.

Hide AdTour venues include Dewsbury Golf Club; Aakash Restaurant, Cleckheaton; Oakwell Hall and the Greenwood Centre, Ravensthorpe.
Combining South Asian Carnatic vocals with contemporary electronica – Shivoham is composed by electro composer Shri Sriram, formerly of the Badmarsh & Shri trip hop duo, composers of The Life of Pi soundtrack.
Ben Castle plays saxophone and clarinet in the piece and carnatic singer and Artistic Director of Manasamitra Supriya Nagarajan, will join them on vocals.
