New plans revealed to build homes on derelict arts building site in Batley Carr
Kirklees Council is seeking to build new homes on the site of a derelict arts centre in Batley Carr.
The council’s Physical Resources and Procurement team has applied to the planning authority to build 16 new flats on the Dewsbury Arts Centre site in Upper Road.
A car park would also be built following demolition of the existing derelict building.
The application is open to public consultation until Monday July 7.
