New found confidence for inspirational beauty queen
Clare Louise Hurst, 30, always had dreams of participating in beauty pageants but didn’t have the confidence to try it.
She said: “People thought I was pregnant, which I wasn’t at all, but that knocked me down as I already had no self esteem, always thought I wasn’t good enough and always kept myself to myself.”

She said: “At first I was so nervous about going I didn’t know what everyone was going to be like but they were all lovely.
“Jill, the leader, was great, she talked about what foods to eat, to do plenty of exercise and to always keep track of what you are doing.
“I thought ‘this isn’t going to be easy for me’ but knew with my mum’s help I could do this.”

She said: “I started modelling, I did a few photo shoots and they were impressed at how confident and talented I was and told me to try new things, so I looked at beauty pageants.”
Clare has only been doing pageants for a short time but has already won a number of titles, her most recent Royal Majestic Charity 2016, which she was extremely pleased to win.
Clare said: “It just goes to show you can do anything you set your heart to.”
“I couldn’t have done this without the support of my mum and family.”
