Name your heroes
Nominations are being taken for the next group of Mirfield Ambassadors.
The civic scheme recognises people who have served the community or brought credit to the town through their achievements.
Those previously granted the title include Mirfield-born actor Sir Patrick Stewart, Mirfield Show chairwoman Karen Bullivant and Upper Hopton Community Association chairwoman Chris Breare.

Hide AdPeople in the town are invited to make written nominations with the name of the nominee and why they deserve the accolade.
An independent panel will then make recommendations to the town council.
Nominations should be sent to Lisa Staggs via [email protected] or posted to Mirfield Town Council, Council Offices, 198 Huddersfield Road, WF14 8BA, by Saturday November 30.
