Mirfield Show team invites food stall bids

The event, which attracts thousands of visitors, will be held at Mirfield Showground on August 17.

But businesses hoping to host food stalls only have until January 31 to apply.

The showground has pitches for a bar, specialist coffee and ice-cream vendors, and more than 10 food stalls.

In recent years, demand for stalls has been so high that some applicants have been left disappointed.

The show committee has set criteria to help it make the final choice, with value for money for visitors a key factor.
