Mirfield man, 20, killed in motorway smash

The 20-year-old man was in a white Renault Clio which was at a stop on the hard shoulder of the M62 eastbound between junctions 29 and 30.

He was reportedly stuck by a blue Mercedes AZ and sustained serious injuries.

The incident was reported at 7.20am.

The man was taken to Pinderfields Hospital where he later died of his injuries.
