Mirfield and Upper Hopton crime update

Criminals broke into a canal boat in Shepley Bridge Marina at around 6pm on Monday December 15 before setting off an on-board fire extinguisher.

A Ford Transit van was stolen in Knowl Road, Eastthorpe on December 15 at around ,9pm. Later that evening, at around 11pm, a wheelie bin was stolen from Lee Green.

A suspect has been arrested after a car stolen in Mirfield was recovered in Bradford. Thieves snapped a lock at a property in Sunways, Kitson Hill, before taking the keys to a BMW 330 and stealing it.

A container of used dripping was stolen and replaced with an empty container at Old Bank Fisheries on Thursday December 18 at around 5.30am. A Honda motorcycle was stolen from a garage in Sunny Bank Road on Saturday at around 7.30pm.

Electrical items, and two Mercedes cars were stolen from a house in Wellhouse Close on Saturday after the victim’s ladder was used to climb through an insecure window at around 7.30pm.

Windows of a Landover and a DAF were smashed on Sunday morning between 8.30am and 9.55pm.
