Met Office issues snow warning for Wednesday

The Met Office is warning of snow fall and wintry showers for Wednesday.

It has issued a yellow ‘be aware’ warning saying up to 3cm of snow could fall and drivers should expect disruption.

The Met Office said: “Snow showers will continue to affect many eastern and north eastern parts of the UK through Wednesday.

“Some heavy snow showers are possible. Local accumulations of 1-3 cm are likely away from immediate coasts, with locally more than this over higher ground such as the North York Moors and Lincolnshire Wolds.”
