Man was grabbed before his wallet was stolen in Dewsbury

A man’s wallet was stolen in a Dewsbury robbery.

The incident happened on Saturday, November 21, between 8.30 and 8.45pm when the victim was walking along South Street.

He was approached by a female suspect. She grabbed at him before taking his wallet and running to a nearby vehicle which then made off along the street and turned right.

The female is described as eastern European, early 40s, 5ft 6 tall of a stocky build. She was wearing a dark head scarf, a dark thick knitted cardigan with a dark top underneath and a dark ankle length skirt with dark flat shoes.

The male driver, of the vehicle the female got into, is described as eastern European, late 30s, average build and clean shaven. He was wearing a light coloured woolly hat, a dark bomber jacket with a light coloured t-shirt underneath. The vehicle he was driving is believed to be a Vauxhall Vectra.
