Man treated for smoke inhalation after house fire

A man was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out at his home.

Fire crews from Dewsbury were called to the property on Hyrst Grove, Batley, on Saturday morning.

A man was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital.

A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the blaze was started by an electrical malfunction.
