Man taken to hospital after crashing into parked car

A man had to be cut from the wreckage of an accident after crashing into a parked car.

Firefighters from Dewsbury Fire Station were called to Heckmondwike Road, Dewsbury at around 9pm last night (Monday).

Watch commander Andy Marshall, of Dewsbury Fire Station, said: “The driver of a Skoda Yeti had collided with a parked car and we had to cut the windscreen of the car out and get him out through the gap.”

He was taken to hospital by ambulance.
