Man left with facial injuries after pub assault

A man was was left with facial injuries after being assaulted outside a pub in Heckmondwike.

The incident occurred on Friday, December 18, at around 9.25pm at the Red Lion pub, where the 24-year-old victim was assaulted by two men.

He received hospital treatment after the attack.

One suspect is described as a white male, around 5’10, around 27-years-old, of medium build, brown hair tied up with elastic bands which looked like dreadlocks.

The other suspect is described as white, around 5’10 aged between 25 and 27 years, stocky build, shaven dark short hair.

Detective Constable Annette Lane of Kirklees CID said; “The incident occurred on a busy Friday night where I am certain that people who may have been at the public house may have heard or seen something. I would ask that anyone who was there to think back to if they saw something and ask that they come forward with any information. Enquiries are ongoing.”
