Man left with broken nose and fractured cheekbone after Frontier assault

A man was left with serious facial injuries following an assault in Batley in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The incident happened inside the Frontier nightclub, Bradford Road, at around 2.25am.

The 24-year-old victim was taken to Dewsbury and District Hospital to receive treatment for his injuries and was released later on Saturday.

He was left with a broken nose which may need surgery in future, a fractured cheekbone, a cut to his right eye and two black eyes.

Police investigations into the assault are ongoing.

Detective Inspector Steph Wiseman, of Kirklees CID, said: “It was a completely unprovoked attack and we are still looking into the motive behind it.

“The victim was left with quite serious injuries and I would appeal for any witnesses to come forward.”
