Man injured after leaping from second floor balcony to escape flat blaze
A man was seriously injured after jumping to safety from a second floor balcony to escape an apartment fire.
Fire crews from Bradford, Morley and Mirfield attended the blaze at a third floor apartment in Brooklyn Court, Cleckheaton.
The man leapt to safety, suffering broken bones and other injuries including smoke inhalation.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance as crews worked at the scene, using two hose reels and six sets of breathing apparatus to bring the fire under control.
No other residents were injured.
