Man in hospital after traffic accident in Westtown

Police were called to reports of a collision outside the Irish National League Club in Park Parade, Westtown, at around 3pm.

Park Parade has been closed since the time of the accident and drivers are being diverted away from the scene.

The man, who was in his 60s, was hit by a black Volkswagen panel van and taken to Pinderfields Hospital.

A police spokeswoman said he was not believed to have been seriously injured and that no arrests had been made.
