Man found dead in Dewsbury canal was 63
The man recovered from Savile Town Wharf in Dewsbury by firefighters yesterday (Sunday) was 63 years old.
Police were called to the marina off Mill Street East at around 10am on Sunday.
They had been contacted by one of the occupants of a boat moored in the marina.
A police spokesman said the incident was not being treated as suspicious.
A post mortem examination has yet to be carried out.
