Man, 39, in critical condition after Thornhill Lees street fight

A 39-YEAR-OLD man is in a critical condition in hospital after a street brawl in Thornhill Lees, Dewsbury.

Police were called to reports of a group of men fighting in Victoria Road at around 6.44pm on Sunday.

The group escaped before officers arrived but the 39-year-old was left seriously injured on the floor.

A police forensic tent was set up near the junction with Douglas Avenue and a police cordon was in place for most of yesterday.
