Lydgate pupils enjoy animal care talk

As part of Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month, Lydgate School invited Abbey House Vets to talk to the students about their important role and how they look after their animals.

The children asked questions and talked about how they care for their own pets during the workshop.

KS1 had a lady from Warburton’s visit the school to make sandwiches.

Children also talked about the eat well plate and how to stay healthy. They were also given the opportunity to make their own ‘healthy’ sandwiches.

A spokesman said: “They loved being sandwich makers.

“They especially liked eating them at the end!”
