Logo designer wins award from Dragons’ Den guru Theo Paphitis

A logo designer has meet Dragons’ Den business guru Theo Paphitis after bagging an award from the star entrepreneur.

Lee Kennedy, who started Lambchop Creative in 2012, was one of six last year to win Mr Paphitis’ Small Business Sunday Award – a weekly prize on Twitter in which hopefuls showcase their work to the TV judge.

Lee, 28, of Frank Lane, Thornhill, got to attend a networking event and award show with fellow winners in Birmingham where he received a certificate, had his photo taken with Theo and bagged £50 to spend at Ryman.

Lee said:“I love Dragons’ Den, I’m a big fan. Theo’s got loads of successful businesses and he’s someone to look up to.

“Obviously it’s got me a lot of exposure on Facebook and Twitter. I’ve had a few jobs come in from it.”

Lee graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2011 with a degree in Graphics and Communication and worked for Digital Dream in Bradford.

He later branched out by himself and has worked with companies including Nicholas Deakins, ASDA, Just-Eat and Leeds’ Hilton.

“I try and be a bit different,” Lee said. “It’s not like the corporate sort of design, it’s the fun sort of design. It’s bright and in your face.

Theo Paphitis set up his first company in property and corporate finance at the age of 23 and went on create a huge business empire.

When he met Lee, Mr Paphitis said of Lambchop: “I like that, its memorable, well done.”
