The Indian dance group Manasamitra, Kirklees Music School and Batley singer-songwriter Jade Helliwell will also be on the bill.

The Hippochondriac Thingumajig Theatre will be roaming the streets giving a puppet show from the inside of a mechanical hippo.

Simon Thirkill, who has been involved in Batley Festival for the last three years, said people could expect a lot more exciting announcements in the coming weeks.

The festival takes place on Saturday September 27, 11am to 4pm.
