The Batley store will also have a loyalty to leading British furniture brands including Sherborne, who for over 85 years have been producing reclining chairs and settees in Clayton, Bradford.
The two towns’ shared textile manufacturing heritage persuaded Oswaldtwistle Mills managing director Boyd Hargreaves to cross the border into Yorkshire,
“There are a lot of similarities with The Mill Outlet at Batley and our main site in Lancashire, We are similar in size of facility, site turnover, concession mix and customer profile. We hope to deliver an interesting mix of home, furniture and lifestyle ranges to complement the existing retail offer at Batley that has worked well at Oswaldtwistle.”
