Parking Wars - a three part series being broadcast this month on ITV1 - followed the trail of parking supervisor Lily Nelson on Tuesday night.

Lily, who is normally grounded in office work is seen taking on angry drivers in Dewsbury and Huddersfield as she experiences first-hand the ups, downs and difficulties of life as a traffic warden.

The show was the subject of a number of comments on social media, with Louise McCormick tweeting: “If you park where you are supposed to and adhere to the signs then there won’t be an issue. It’s really not difficult.”

Another Twitter user, Janet, said: “Interesting viewing! Do we now need to test drivers ability to choose appropriate parking space?”

The show, which was the second of three episodes, is available to watch on ITV on Demand.
