Justice campaigners take to the streets
Friends and family of Daniel Atkinson collected around 500 signatures for their petition to have a care worker prosecuted while campaigning in Dewsbury on Saturday.
Daniel, 17, and his friend Jade Rice, 17, died in January 2006 when a speeding car driven by their care worker crashed.
Daniel’s mum Linda Hawker said: “A lot of people said they came down specially because they’d seen it in the paper.
“A couple of Daniel’s friends came down with others to sign it.
“The staff in the bus station were really helpful and they all signed it too. It was really good.”
