Hypnotism doesn’t have to be serious – and Grant Saunders is determined to bring its humorous side to the stage. Grant, from Huddersfield, brings his stage show to Dewsbury Town Hall next month – and we have two pairs of tickets to give away.

Grant, who has performed all over the world, said: “It’s all about having fun and making people laugh.”

He has been performing for around 15 years and believes that hypnotism can have amazing health benefits, both mentally and physically.

Grant said: “It’s karaoke for the mind. You can do anything that your mind tells you and I want to help people to overcome and worries or struggles that they may have.

“Some people do think that it is about making people do degrading things or something that is against their values or morals, but it isn’t. It is a comedy show where everyone has fun and no one is degraded.

“You can have a laugh, but you can do so without it being at other people’s expense.”

Grant Saunders is atDewsbury Town Hall on Saturday October 19. To be in with a chance of winning tickets, answer the following question:

What item of jewellery do hypnotists traditionally use to make their subjects ‘sleep’?
