Isobelle’s generous gesture for cancer children

Children recovering from cancer are set to benefit from the selfless act of an eight-year-old girl.

Isobelle Sibbald was proud of her long hair, which had never been cut, but that changed when she saw the plight of young chemotherapy patients.

On Tuesday she had her 28in locks trimmed to half their length and is sending the hair to the Little Princess Trust to be made into wigs for children faced with hair loss following cancer treatment.

She has also raised more than £500 from donations to her JustGiving webpage, which will go to the trust and Cancer Research UK.

Isobelle, of Staincliffe Close, Dewsbury Moor, said: “I watched Children’s Hospital and saw these children who had lost their hair and I wanted to do something to help them.”
