Injured ex-serviceman goes for Warrior Games gold
Former Sergeant Paul, from Mirfield, suffered spinal injuries when the vehicle he was in detonated an IED in Afghanistan in 2009.
Bound to a wheelchair, Paul began looking at sport as a way of rehabilitation and in April the 34-year-old received an email stating he had been chosen to represent the UK Armed Forces in the Warrior Games.

He found it difficult to raise the funds needed to pay for expensive and specialist gear, until the Round Table stepped forward and donated £1,000.
Round Table member Karl Ashford said: “We recognised the commitment and sacrifice Paul made for his country. We wish Paul all the best in the Warrior Games and for the future.”
