Hundreds of new homes could be built in Batley

Residents in Soothill received letters from a firm that intends to apply for planning permission to build around 400 new homes between Soothill Lane and Grange Road.

The company, Parsons Brinckerhoff, has announced a consultation period for residents to have their say, which will run until July 20.

The company said further details would be released at a later date and that this consultation period would not replace the formal consultation when the planning application is submitted.
