Help clear up canal bank
Help clear up the canal bank this weekend.
There is an open invitation for volunteers to meet at Shepley Marina, Mirfield, at 10am on Saturday to help with a litter pick around the waterway and marina.
Anyone who can spare an hour or two would be welcome. Volunteers will be joined by some people on Community Payback schemes and refreshments will be served at lunchtime.
The project is all part of Mirfield Matters, a survey of Mirfield people to uncover issues which matter to people in the town. The litter pick aims to increase environmental awareness.
