Helicopter search after man crashes into wall
A man who abandoned his car after crashing into a wall in Mirfield has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
The police helicopter searched for the driver after blood was found near the scene of the crash last night (Sunday).
Police were called at 10.20pm after the car crashed into a wall at the junction of Flash Lane and Hepworth Lane.
The driver made off, but was later arrested. He was treated for a minor head wound and taken into custody.
No other people were in the car and no one else was hurt in the collision.
