Det Sgt Carole Greaves, of the Major Collision Enquiry Team, said: “Although enquiries are still in their early stages, we believe the Astra might have misjudged a bend which led to it being in collision with the Bipper.”

Anyone who saw either vehicle prior to the collision is asked to contact DC 2752 Lowdon at the Major Collision Enquiry Team via 101.
