But it is hoped people will carry on the good work that the Plant It, Grow It, Eat It project started.
The scheme aims to give people the opportunity to grow their own fruit and vegetables and improve health and wellbeing while bringing communities together.
Charity support for the project ends next month, but Kirklees Council say people now have the skills and experience to manage the gardens themselves.
Plant It, Grow It, Eat It started in 2011 and has sites in Batley Carr, Chickenley, Dewsbury Moor, Fieldhead, Savile Town, Stainclife, Thornhill and Wilton.

A series of raised beds have been installed at the site so people can get their hands dirty.
