The attraction boasts four adrenalin-inducing rides, capable of carrying 2,500 people an hour.

The steepest and fastest, the “Black Run”, has an 11m drop, while the “Cresta Run”, modelled on the ski slope in St Moritz, sees riders propelled head first, on a racing mat.

At 116m long, the family-friendly “Olympic Run” is the longest of the slides, and is ridden on a double inflatable ring, while the “Snow Storm”, pumping 20,900 litres of water a minute, sends riders through a series of breakneck turns.

There is also a wave pool, children’s play pool, outdoor garden pool and a heated massage pool with whirlpools and bubble benches, as well as a terrace overlooking Scarborough Bay.
