Gales and heavy rain causing chaos
High winds and heavy rain are causing flooding and travel chaos.
Northern Rail said some trains would be running with 40mph speed restrictions after a severe weather warning was issued.
The rail operator said on its website: “There is an estimation that up to 10mm of rain is expected to fall in this timescale with high winds and gales accompanying this weather front.
“The ground is already saturated and due to this there is a potential for both inland and coastal flooding.”
The Environment Agency said parts of rivers Spen, Aire and Calder were at risk of flooding.
