Freemasons’ gift to Batley Mencap

A society for people with learning difficulties recieved a generous cash boost this week.

Batley and District Mencap Society, based in Park Road, recieved a cheque for £1,000 from Freemason Fred Davis.
Mr Davis (pictured with Susie Burns), of the Lodge of Stability 7374, raised the money with the lodge during his year as chairman, which ended in April.

The Freemasons will also be helping the society with the refurbishment of their centre.
