Free microchipping for dogs at Thornhill event

DOG owners can get their pets microchipped during an event in Thornhill tomorrow (Wednesday).

The microchipping roadshow will offer the service free to owners on low incomes and benefits, and for £5 for all other dog owners.

Each chip, around the size of a grain of rice, has a unique number and the owner’s details to help the authorities return lost or stolen dogs.

Owners must bring proof of income or benefits received to qualify for the free service.
