Former students show their metal on return to Kirklees College

Architectural Metalwork company MCJ Fabrications, based in Liversedge on Union Road, has returned to Kirklees College '“ where managing director Mick Fortune and draughtsman Neil Atkinson completed their studying back in 1984.

MCJ Fabrications have recently completed the Architectural Metalwork package on behalf of Kier Northern Construction for the new Springfield Sixth Form Centre on Commercial Road which is set to open this September.

Mick Fortune said “It was an absolute pleasure to work on this project for Kirklees College as I have many happy memories of studying in Dewsbury.

“I carved out my career there and to be part of this development, coming back to where my fabrication journey begun, was a delight.”
