The former McDonalds building in Dewsbury Town Centre has been sold, just days after failing to sell at auction.
The site at 28 Church Street had gone up for auction on Tuesday October 21, but failed to meet its reserve.
But auctioneers Pugh told the Dewsbury Reporter that a deal has since been struck with an unnamed private company to buy the building.
A spokeswoman for Pugh said contracts had been signed and the keys would be handed over by the end of November.
The building closed as a McDonalds last November after 26 years in the town when franchisee Pritpal Singh claimed that it was “no longer economically viable.”
