And striker Jimmy Spencer has joined League One Brentford on loan.

Bees boss Uwe Rosler moved for the 20-year-old because of an injury to Moroccan star Farid El Allagui.

The initial deal runs until November 21 inclusive, and Spencer was training with the West London club today in readiness for Saturday’s game at Doncaster.

Bradford City boss Phil Parkinson meanwhile says the Bantams’ free week could not have come a moment too soon.

It is a brief respite before City face three more midweekers on the bounce – trips to Northampton and Premier League Wigan before a home clash with Chesterfield.

Midfielder Ritchie Jones is expected to get some game time for the reserves today against Mansfield as he builds up following his two-month injury absence.
