‘Five-star’ deal for firm

A Dewsbury furniture company has struck a big deal to help keep elderly people comfortable.

Shackletons, based in Weaving Lane, Dewsbury, has secured a contract worth £50,000 to provide a Goole residential home with furniture.

The company provided the Westfield Park residential home in Goole with more than 100 items, kitting out more than 60 rooms and communal areas.

Jason Bloom, national sales manager at Shackletons, said: “We are extremely pleased to be part of what is a flagship development for Yorkare.

“I would like to thank them for providing us with a brief that matched with a subject we know an awful lot about – comfort.

“I have no doubt the residents will appreciate the high level of care we have put into our furniture.”

The furniture, which included beds and chairs was delivered to the home last month. One of the residents even compared the Dewsbury-built chairs to some of those in the world’s finest hotels!
