Auto Silicon Hoses was honoured at the county’s Fastest 50 Awards, organised by law firm Ward Hadaway and backed by the Yorkshire Post.

Andrew’s father Gordon lent his business expertise to the expanding enterprise, joining as the third director, and Auto Silicon Hoses became a limited company three years ago.

Boasting turnover of £5.2m last year, the supplier moved from Ravensthorpe, Dewsbury to new premises in Holmebank Business Park, Station Road, last January and currently employs 75 staff.

Claiming to be one of the biggest online distributors of wiper blades and automotive bulbs in Europe, the firm supplies customers worldwide.

“We’re really happy to have won the award,” Rob said. “It gives the staff a feeling of job security.”

Full and part-time warehouse staff are wanted, with apprenticeships also available in customer services, marketing and warehousing.
