Firm chosen to be UK ambassador
Fire engine manufacturer Angloco, based in Upper Station Road, has been selected to represent small and medium-sized businesses in the Business Is Great Britain campaign.
The campaign aims to increase awareness of the range of government funding, advice and support which is available to smaller businesses - to help them grow, hire new employees and extend their business export markets.

“The exposure helps us to reach out to more potential customers with our export markets.”
The firm employs 70 people and supplies its emergency vehicles to 54 countries.
It has won several national awards since the 1990s, recognising its growth.

“We are up against it all the time because things change so fast around the world nowadays that you have to keep up with it, or you’ll get left behind,” he said.
The firm was also chosen to be an ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship Week last month.
