Ronan Bruce and Steve Hanson, from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service’s breathing apparatus training department, are seeking £3,000 sponsorship for their trip to the Mityana region in June.

They plan to provide basic fire safety training and fire safety education to more than 30 schools and train the police in basic firefighting and road safety skills, as there is no fire service in the region.
