Firefighters attend flat bedroom fire
Two fire engines from Dewsbury attended reports of a flat fire in Thornhill Lees yesterday (Wednesday).
The fire had already gone out by the time firefighters reached Slaithwaite Close at around 4.20pm.
Crew Commander Peter Bostock said the fire started in the bedroom of the first floor flat and that the single male occupant had escaped the building by the time fire crews arrived.
Police officers also attended the scene and a spokesman said a 40-year-old man was arrested for breach of the peace.
