Fire crews tackle ‘suspicious’ car blaze

A suspicious car fire broke out in Cleckheaton last night (Wednesday).

Fire crews were called to the incident, between Iron Steeet and Brick Street, at 11.45pm.

On arrival they found a Skoda Fabia ablaze, which had been spotted by a member of the public.

A West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said it’s believed the fire was started deliberately.

Crews used hose reels to extinguish the fire and left aroun 12.30am.

There were no injuries.
