Smoke that was billowing from the site could be seen as far away as Leeds city centre.

Around a dozen crews attended the incident from stations including Hunslet, Stanningley, Morley, Gipton, Batley and Pontefract.

Whitehall Road was reportedly closed between Lawns Lane and Branch Road, with traffic being diverted via Gelderd Road.
