Festive fundraising

UK Greetings, which is based in Savile Town, has printed packs of Christmas cards which are now on sale at Dewsbury Minster.

Packs of 10 cost £2, and all proceeds will go towards the Friends of Dewsbury Minster scheme.

The Rev Canon Kevin Partington said: “I think when local firms support, not just the church, but other organisations in Dewsbury, it’s really commendable.”

Lorna Bunnell from UK Greetings said: “UK Greetings were delighted to be involved with supporting Dewsbury Minster by creating a beautiful card, which we hope helps raise lots of money for such a worthy cause.”

The Minster has also had a VIP visit this week when Dr Ingrid Roscoe, Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, visited the Grade II listed building for the first time.
