Following GCSE and A Level results last month, the college has extended its enrolment to appeal to people who may still be undecided about which step to take next.

Enrolment sessions for both full and part time courses will take place at the new Huddersfield Centre on Tuesday September 3, between 10am-3pm, Monday 9 and Tuesday September 10 from 5-6.30pm and at the Dewsbury Centre on Wednesday September 11 and Thursday September 13 from 5-6.30pm.

Vice principal for curriculum Andrea Machell said: “We’ve had an excellent response to our enrolment sessions so far this year, but we’re aware that some 16 year olds haven’t quite decided what to do after their GCSEs yet. We want to allow them to come and enrol with us. We still have a number of places left on our full time courses and our part time and adult education courses, so we’d love to see anyone who is interested in taking a course this year. We can find a suitable offer for everyone.

“Last year 97 per cent of our students passed their course and we expect to maintain this high standard for the 2013-14 year.”

Prospective students should bring ID and evidence of any previous qualifications like certificates or GCSE results slips.

Courses available at the Dewsbury Centre, include: Access to Higher Education, childhood studies, brickwork, joinery, painting and decorating, plastering, art and design, foundation learning, hair and beauty, health and social care and adult learning courses.
